VOLUNTEERS are being encouraged to join beach cleans and community litter picks in Minehead and Dunster this month.
They are being organised over two weekends by Plastic Free Communities - West Somerset and Exmoor.
Plastic Free Minehead will lead a beach clean and town litter pick on Saturday, March 16, from 1pm to 3pm, and would welcome anybody who is keen to join in.
Volunteers should meet outside the Beach Hotel, Minehead, at 1pm.

On Saturday, March 23, Plastic Free Exmoor will lead a community clear up in the village of Dunster and the surrounding area between 10.30am and 12noon.
Volunteers who want to join the event should meet at Dunster’s Exmoor National Park Centre at 10.30am.
Children under the age of 16 years should be accompanied by an adult.
Both of the events are part of the Keep Britain Tidy Great British Spring Clean, The Severn Estuary Partnership Spring Clean, and Surfers Against Sewage Million Mile Clean.
