TRUSTEES and staff from the volunteers' charity Engage West Somerset thanked their supporters over coffee and mince pies last Thursday.
The organisation held an open morning to thank volunteers, donors, customers, members and supporters.
Chairman Carolynne Beadman said: "We took the opportunity to thank everyone who had supported Engage over the past year, either by donating or buying furniture, volunteering their help as drivers, receptionists or store assistants."
Members of the public were also invited to drop-in and meet workers and find out more about the work of the organisation.
Engage was originally set-up to support other voluntary sector organisations and community groups and is based in Alcombe Village Hall in Marshfield Road, Alcombe.
It also runs a furniture re-use project from the ground floor of the hall and co-ordinates the local social car scheme, using volunteer drivers in their own vehicles to transport people who cannot access traditional public transport.
Engage will reopen after the Christmas break on January 4 2011.
