Comic poet Elvis McGonagall promises an evening of laughter when he stages his Full Tartan Jacket show next weekend at Dulverton Town Hall.

His show is billed as providing ’biting and savagely funny satire in a blend of provocative verse and politically savvy stand-up comedy, all imbued with searing wit, wordplay and anarchic invective’.

McGonagall is a World Poetry Slam Champion and Radio 4 regular.

He is appearing at Dulverton Town Hall on Saturday, January 22, at 8pm, in the venue’s first live show of the year, in partnership with Take Art.

The venue will follow all government Covid-19 guidelines and regulations. A reduced number of tickets are available to ensure social distancing and good ventilation, and face masks are required.

The show, organised by Dulverton Development Forum, is suitable for over-16s and tickets priced £10 are available from Dulverton Post Office and Jan Ross on 01398 323818 or at [email protected]
