EIGHT students from West Somerset are among the top achieving BTEC students at Richard Huish College in Taunton.

All of the college’s BTEC students passed their courses but the West Somerset eight achieved three distinction* grades – equivalent to three A* at A Level.

Sasha Milton, Charlotte Bottle and Skye Perkins, all from Watchet, were successful in BTEC business while Harriet Hopkins, from Minehead, and Cayleigh Brown, from Washford, had studied health and social care.

Joel McGuinness, from Minehead, succeeded in IT, and Alasdair Doughty, also from Minehead in sport.
