ART students and staff at Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe, have created a large mural to brighten up the outside of the East Block.
It was inspired by an exchange trip to Zambia, where Kingsmead has partner schools, with the aim of bringing a little bit of Zambian colour and pattern into the school environment.
The mural, eight foot wide and 20ft high, was constructed, drawn and painted during the school’s Challenge Week in July by the art department and students who chose art as one of their GCSE options.
Kingsmead wishes to thank all those involved in the project, especially SCForecourts Ltd in Wiveliscombe who kindly erected the mural on the school’s behalf.
