DESPITE the snow, pupils at Danesfield Middle School, Williton, made a huge effort with their World Book Day costumes.
The children and staff dressed up as their favourite characters to take part – hordes of Harry Potters, Alices in Wonderland and other popular literary figures arrived at the school.
Head teacher Adam Evans said: “Despite the inclement weather, the children and staff looked absolutely amazing in their costumes. The ideas that children and parents had come up with were brilliant.”
The five winners were Grace Pickering as Gandalf, Eloise Barrett who was The Mad Hatter, Katie Liddle as Mary Poppins, Rhys Carr as Harry Potter and Jess Crockford who came as Gangsta Granny.
