A WEEKLY market initiative called Wonderful Wednesdays has been launched by the Dunster Tourism Forum (DTF).
Wonderful Wednesdays aims to encourage more visitors to the village mid-week to enjoy special offers and discounts from the wide range of high-quality independent traders and businesses.
Visitors can also take advantage of offers on everything from fashion to art, homeware to crafts, gifts to garden goodies, lunches to lattes, paints to prints and even an overnight stay with dinner.
Changing regularly, the event launches with offers from 22 traders on Dunster Steep, the High Street, Church Street and West Street including pubs and hotels, shops and tearooms, art galleries and an antiques shop.

DTF represents a selection of local businesses in the village who work together to make every visit to Dunster special.
Andy Rice, chairman, said: “Everyone knows that retailers up and down the country have been tackling a triple whammy of increased business rates and staff costs, competition from online stores, and uncertainty surrounding Brexit.
“Dunster village is extremely popular with visitors for its charm and beauty, but it is not immune from these challenges. Wonderful Wednesdays is part of our active marketing programme to give visitors more reasons to spend time in our village.
“The response to the scheme so far on social media has been strong so we’re really hopeful that Wonderful Wednesdays will become a key day for locals and tourists alike to come to the village.”
