The students will also be producing two sequels documenting the restoration work as it takes place, and then capturing the restored weir and leat once the project has been completed.
The conservation trust has been using the film of the current state of the weir to generate support for its restoration programme.
The weir and leat are recognised for being of ‘significant national historic importance’ as an ‘urban watermill landscape’ and considered ‘the best preserved medieval leat in England’.
