A NEW community employment hub opens in Dulverton library tomorrow and will be there every first Thursday of the month.

The West Somerset hub project is built on grassroots community activity and aims to bring economic and social benefit to those living in the district’s communities, offering bespoke, holistic support in a relaxed environment.

Hubs are available to anyone, whether in or out of work, transferring or starting jobs, self-employed or starting up a business.

Visitors can access the internet, search and apply for work, get help with CV writing or updating, interview preparation, or enhance their English, maths and IT skills.

The West Somerset Advice service is there to offer access to free confidential support on a wide range of services ranging from financial advice to consumer issues and energy bills.

West Somerset Cllr Nicholas Thwaites and Cllr Bruce Heywood have met the team who will be running the hub in Dulverton and will be at the opening at 10am tomorrow, March 1.
