AN invasion of plastic paddlers marked the start of the annual Withycombe duck races on Saturday.

Organised by the village hall committee, the races featured events for both adults and children, with the last race attracting a first prize of £50.

As well as the water challenges, visitors could also enjoy a barbecue, bar and raffle.
