WILLITON Parish Council is considering sponsoring a bus link from Doniford to Williton centre if there is sufficient interest.
Residents in the village are being asked to give their views on a potential bus link to the centre of Williton, and a survey form has been hand delivered to all homes in the area.
Parish councillors David Kirkham and Ian Aldridge have been developing the idea for nearly a year.
The proposal has gained increased importance as there will be no bus service to Williton or Watchet once First Bus Number 14 through Doniford stops.
The council is urging residents to respond, for the proposed bus service to be considered by Williton parish council. If the response is too low, the council will assume it is not needed.
If the link goes ahead, other residents along the route will also be surveyed and businesses consulted, to make the service widely known and used.
Survey forms can be requested from the parish clerk at the parish office in Killick Way, Williton, or call 01984 633979.
