THE annual Danesfield School Fun Run takes place in Williton next Sunday (June 12) – the 15th time it has been staged.
The event has traditionally been held in May, and not only takes place later this year but also has an earlier start time – 11am instead of 11.30am.
It gives runners the chance to raise money for their chosen school, group or charity while enjoying a 2.5-mile trek to Watchet and back.
A total of 120 took part last year, with some donning fancy dress to make the event more challenging.
Apart from the fun run there will be various stalls and refreshments available at the school.
Entry forms and sponsorship forms can be obtained from Danesfield School and need to be returned by Wednesday (June 8). The cost is £4 for an adult, £2 for a child and £10 for a family of four. Entries on the day are limited and cost as extra £1.
Clubs and organisations are also encouraged to enter, with special rates available for more than ten runners.
