DISABLED 35-year-old Dan Sully’s dream of having a heavy-duty wheelchair finally became a reality when he tried out the £3,500 machine on Wednesday.

Dan needs the wheelchair to transport him across the two fields on Minehead’s North Hill where he keeps four miniature Dexter cows which he hopes to take to this year’s Dunster Show.

Just four weeks after an appeal in the Free Press, well-wishers have contributed 89 per cent of the money – £3,140 89.
