Local company Atlas UK Security Services has become the first security firm in Yeovil to achieve a government-recognised customer service status.

Their BS EN ISO 9001 status will enable the company to take on a larger and more diverse contracts. Atlas UK will be subject to annual audits that monitor the company's entire working structure, ensuring client satisfaction from initial contracts management, to final reports.

CQS Ltd, the body that awards the BS EN ISO standard, stated that Atlas UK had long been ready for certification, due to its rapid expansion through the South West, with turnover increasing 350 per cent in a little over a year.

Based in Yeovil, Atlas UK has a professional guard force renown for offering a first-class service, while maintaining a cost-effective edge over its competitors.

Schedules include static guarding, mobile patrols, key-holding, lock-downs and secure couriers while a manned control room constantly monitors each guard via a radio network, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

With a compliment of over 80 people, the staff is dedicated, being able to respond to individual clientís needs, tailoring each contract to suit, from small private houses to large construction sites.

An added incentive is the 'Employee of the Month' scheme, with a prize of a certificate and cheque for £50. Additionally, any individual winning the certificate three times in a year will receive a paid holiday.
