THREE men have been arrested after a 90-year-old Minehead pensioner reported that money had been taken from a bank account.
The men, aged 34, 43 and 62, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary and conspiracy to commit fraud. The 43-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply. All three were released on bail.
An Avon and Somerset spokesman said police had received a report from a Minehead bank that a customer had complained that money had been taken from an account without their knowledge.
The spokesman added: “We would remind people to keep a close eye on their finances and to never give out any information such as PIN numbers, which could compromise financial security.”
He added that inquiries were continuing.
