A GANG of three young thugs attacked a local couple in the street in Minehead in the early hours of Saturday. The couple, in their 30s, were assaulted in Bancks Street at about 2.40am and suffered minor injuries and shock. Police believe the assault may be linked to an earlier altercation in the Wellington Hotel and appeal that anyone with information should contact Minehead police station on 0845 4567000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
