A TRIO of year nine students from West Somerset College have been selected to represent Somerset in their respective sports.

Following U14 girls county rugby trials last month, Gabbie Gower and Beth Wyatt have both been selected for the county side and will take part in their first tournament this weekend.

Meanwhile, Archie Marsh, whose selection journey started in February, has been chosen for the U14 Somerset County Cricket winter training squad.

He will now be attending regular performance development sessions at the club's 'centre of excellence'.
