A COOKERY school which aims to teach local families more skills and inspire them to try new dishes has started on Exmoor.

Mobile catering business Claire’s Kitchen held its first school last Saturday at Wootton Courtney – and it was so successful that most of its ’students’ have already booked places at the next two events.

Claire Lynch started her catering business three years ago with a fundraiser for Timberscombe First School.

Entirely self-taught, Claire works with locals who she trains up to prepare food at a professional level, using primarily locally grown produce – most of the vegetables used come from her own kitchen garden.
