PORLOCK Horse Show was lucky to have perfect weather conditions for competitors and spectators alike this year. Entries across all areas of the show were good, competing in horse showing and jumping, a gymkhana, astaghorn show, an Exmoor Horn sheep show and a dog show. There were also vintage engines and tractors on display and a broad range of trade stands. The ridden showing championship was won by Jenny Lo-vel and Born A Chancer, while Hilary Williams and Maid of the Mountains took the mountain and moorland championship title. T Atkins and Sons produced their Exmoor horn ram to take home the championship sheep cup as well as winning the cup for the most points on the day. The show committee thanked everyone who contributed in anyway towards the show. Proceeds will, as usual, be distributed to local charities in the Porlock area. Results in the Free Press.
