People who buy tickets for a virtual concert of violin and piano music on YouTube this weekend (July 31 and August 1) will be supporting Minehead Music Festival.

Internationally renowned violinist and leader of the Festival Orchestra Maya Magub will be playing live from Los Angeles with pianist Hsin-I Huang. Their concern features music from their forthcoming CD Consolations and includes a world premiere of Liszt’s Consolations transcribed by Maya for violin and piano.

The rest of their programme includes Meditation from Thais, Rachmaninov’s Vocalise, the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria and other much loved melodies on the theme of consolation.
