THE annual Christmas Tree Festival at the Minehead Methodist Church runs until Wednesday, December 6.

It is organised jointly by the local branch of Save the Children and Minehead Methodist Church and features trees decorated and illuminated by local groups - the theme this year is ‘Messages and Messengers’.

Trees can be seen today (Saturday) and on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 4pm.

And everyone is welcome at the Sunday church service tomorrow at 10.30am - trees can be viewed from noon until 4pm.

Entry is free but donations are welcome as profits are given to Save the Children, who support families in distress at home and around the world.

n The Christmas Tree Festival will also be open between 7pm and 8pm on Tuesday, when Minehead Choral Society will be singing carols.

People are welcome to wander around the displays or just take a seat and listen to the Christmas music.

Everyone is welcome and donations for the work of Save the Children would be appreciated.
