A BARBECUE, brass band and a buzzing atmosphere helped to make this year's annual Porlock Late Night Shopping event another success.
St Dubricius' First School pupils opened Saturday's celebrations by singing festive songs and carols in the porch of the parish church.
The West Somerset Brass Band and Blooming Flutes provided musical entertainment in the High Street, while Watchet Town Band was in residence in the village's motor museum.
Shoppers were able to pop into a host of village shops which remained opened especially for the evening, as well as browsing stalls at a Christmas market by Porlock Visitor Centre.
There was a barbecue to tickle the tastebuds, while Santa made an early visit to meet some of the younger visitors.
The late night shopping evening was rounded off with carols around the village Christmas tree.
