“The dedication of everyone who has been recognised this year really goes to show that community spirit is alive and well in Somerset,” said Cllr Lawrence.
“Hearing the stories of people from all walks of life, and the goodwill they show to their neighbours and communities is so very heart-warming and a lesson to us all.”
The West Somerset people and organisations included: David Freemantle, of Crowcombe; Joan Barnes, of Brushford; Judith Norton, of Carhampton; Keith Routledge, of Brompton Regis; Lucy Devitt, of Nettlecombe; Rose Nurton, of Stogursey; Ross Urquhart, of Monksilver; Shirley Dee, of Williton; and West Somerset Advice Bureau.
