Over the years we have had four flower pots and/or perforated tops taken from our family memorial stone at Dunster Cemetery. Occasionally we have found them thrown into the hedge.

I have just replaced yet another pot and within two days the fresh flowers had their heads cut off and scattered on the ground (another pot of fresh flowers further along the line was also similarly desecrated).

I counted 14 missing perforated tops from the various memorial stones, so it is not an isolated incident.

The parish council and police are aware of the problem and I am hoping that bringing it to the attention of your readers, walkers and allotment holders, the vandals will be discouraged.
