SIR — The 1st Minehead Girls' Brigade Company was founded in 1953 and this year celebrates its 60th anniversary. As someone who grew up in Girls' Life Brigade (as it was first called) and who has continued links with GB for 30 years here in Minehead, I can testify to the great work done by this organisation in preparing girls to be useful, well-motivated and caring women.

On Saturday October 19, Minehead GB are holding a Reunion Evening with supper and entertainment at Minehead Baptist Church. We want to ensure as many past and present members as possible are there.
