A WARM West Somerset welcome has secured a return visit by a BBC crew to film more scenes for another episode of the hit medical drama Casualty.
The TV cameras were rolling in Seaward Way last week when a production team filmed scenes at the level crossing on the West Somerset Railway in Minehead.
And it seems the team was so impressed with the level of hospitality on offer locally, they have already made another booking to film more scenes at the railway in spring next year.
"The next sequence to be filmed is not planned to involve any road closures," said railway general manager Paul Conibeare.
"It will feature a longer on-screen sequence when the episode is eventually shown than that which was made last week.
"Three coaches are being brought into the line to stage a rail accident and interior sequences.
"Beyond that we don't know any more, but such quick return business is a clear tribute to both the West Somerset Railway and the local hospitality sector," Mr Conibeare said.
He said he was hopeful word would spread of the warm welcome and scenic beauty of the area and encourage other broadcasters and production teams to use West Somerset as a film location.
