A cream tea for Carhampton residents and visitors will be held in the Recreation Centre on Sunday (August 15) at 2pm to raise funds for village organisations.

The Carhampton heritage centre and bookstore will be open, plus stalls organised by the church and a small exhibition of lockdown stories staged by the heritage centre will be on offer.

The event will be all inclusive and open to any village organisation as an opportunity to raise funds - there will be no stall or pitch fee. Entry is £5 - to cover refreshments and avoid pinch points and queuing wherever possible.

It is hoped that most stalls will be outside, although if the weather is bad, the event will move into the centre’s two halls. The organisers said tables can be reserved and donations of cakes or scones would be greatly appreciated.
