CANNINGTON in Bloom (CinB) has been named as one of this year’s finalists in the prestigious Britain in Bloom gardening competition.

It is competing in the large village category after winning the Cox Cup in the 2023 regional awards.

Britain in Bloom is run by the Royal Horticultural Society to celebrate the best of community gardening.

CinB chairman Steve Pettitt said: “We are delighted to have been invited to compete in this year’s Britain in Bloom competition.

“Cannington are proud gold medal winners in the regional scheme and are honoured to receive recognition for all our bloomers’ hard work and dedication.

“CinB not only helps make our village beautiful, but brings our community together, with shared ambitions for creating a more sustainable, supportive and caring place to live and work.”

The judges will visit each finalist this summer with the winners of each category announced at an autumn awards ceremony.
