PORLOCK, which has he longest lived community in Britain, is campaigning to have as many residents as possible trained to save a life.

There already 100 people in the village who are confident in the use of CPR and  defibrillator in the event of a medical emergency. 

Porlock fire brigade not only acts as first responders but has also bow taken on the role of trainers for the community.

Regular CPR and defibrillator training sessions are undertaken in the fire station, providing new training or as a refresher course.

The sessions are open to everyone and are suitable for all ages. They free but donations are welcome. They must be pre-booked by phoning Porlock Visitor Centre on 01643 863024.
