IT’S Wildlife Week at Carhampton Community Orchard where a free Butterflies ‘n’ Bugs event takes place on Saturday afternoon.

Led by wildlife experts Dave and Ginny Ayling, visitors can discover facts about all sorts of wildlife and try their hand at wildlife quizzes aimed at all ages.

They can also follow the wildlife discovery clues in the orchard’s DIY wildlife activities box, hunt for mini-beasts in the trees and grasses or get up close some moths and help to release them back into their orchard habitat.

Butterflies ‘n’ Bugs runs from 2pm to 4pm, or people may just go along to the orchard at any time during the week see what clues and challenges are waiting in the Green Box.

There are picnic tables, including two specially made for tiny visitors.
