WEST Somerset hotels, restaurants and other businesses have been raking in awards recently – from a host of gold and silver accolades to star chef and top ratings.

A capacity audience of nearly 300 guests saw a West Somerset hotel and restaurant awarded the top Winner of Winners accolade, while nine other awards were given in 20 different categories at the first-ever Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards ceremony last week.

And at other recent events, West Somerset businesses also won an Enterprise Community Heroes Award and gained a coveted AA Rosette.

Successful businesses in the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Awards will now be fast-tracked into the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in February, with eligible finalists also considered for the national Visit England Awards later in 2017.
