FAST-expanding noodle bar Chopstix will open in Minehead next week as part of a £1.2 million investment by Butlin’s in its holiday resort food offering.

Chopstix will start offering its pan-Asian food in Minehead from Friday (February 9) at the beginning of the schools' half-term holiday.

The company has partnered with Butlin’s and opened its first resort concession in Bognor Regis last year.

Now in its 22nd year, the company was founded by Sam Elia and Menashe Sadik in the famous Camden Market and has 90 outlets nationwide.

A Butlin’s spokesperson said: “We are constantly investing in our resorts and we have recently teamed up with a high street favourite to bring delicious, Asian-inspired flavours to Minehead.

“Chopstix pride themselves on being fresh, fast, and tasty, and it is easy to see why.

“Think salt and pepper chicken, or katsu curry with spring rolls and prawn crackers, all served in record time in just three simple steps.

“Delivering a ‘faster, fresher, tastier’ alternative to quick-service food, it is a go-to for nourishing noodles, tasty toppings and sizzling sides, all served in under a minute.”

Butlin’s is also spending £2.5 million to bring its SKYPARK children’s play area to the Minehead resort this summer.

It is billed as ‘the UK’s most exciting playground’, and its six different zones have been designed for ‘inclusivity, interactivity, and illumination’.

The Minehead centre will also see completion of the renovation of 400 units of accommodation this year, while its newest venue, Studio 36, will become a permanent feature.

Minehead resort director Minehead Matt Rake said: “It is going to be an incredible year for Butlin’s Minehead.

“These amazing projects and the substantial investment we are putting into the resort is going to significantly enhance our guest's experience.”
