BUBBLE foam up to her shoulders helped Libby Taplin cool down as she ran the three miles around Taunton Racecourse on Sunday.

Libby, nine, from Watchet, was taking part in the 5k Glitter Run Remix, which had glitter and bubble stations along the way, and she raised £325 for St Margaret’s Hospice.

There was a paint party at the finish line as the participants were handed their medals.

Libby was out training every Saturday morning in the lead-up to the run: “I really want to help local people with life limiting illnesses and their families,” she said.

Now she is hoping to compete in The Glitter Run next year, along with her little brother Freddy, six, who cheered her on from the sidelines.
