FIRE crews from Minehead used breathing apparatus as they dealt with a car which caught alight in Cutcombe, near Wheddon Cross, on Sunday night (June 16).

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue received several 999 calls about the incident, which happened shortly before 9.30 pm.

The vehicle was almost completely destroyed by the blaze, which was believed to be accidental.
