WESSEX Water staff worked through the night to repair a burst water main on the A39 at Bilbrook after the road was closed yesterday lunchtime (June 5) following a major leak.

A Wessex Water spokesman said: “We apologise for any disruption caused by these essential repairs and thank motorists and residents for their patience and co-operation.
“There was some disruption to residents’ water supplies while the emergency work took place.”
