PEOPLE have been donating money, time and equipment for a community barbecue to be built on Splash Point in Watchet.
On Sunday, Sam Shaw and Ryan Nunn laid the concrete base – and within two hours a child was seen jumping up and down on the wet base.
Luckily, Ryan was able to smooth it over so that the barbecue could still be built on it.
Now Ryan and Sam are appealing for helping hands to join the team for the second stage of the build – and completion of the barbecue – tomorrow (Saturday).
Anyone willing to lend a hand is asked to go to Splash Point during the day.
