A GROUP of young people from Watchet Baptist Church ran a Big Bake Sale and raised £336.16 for Christian charity Tearfund.
The sale at The Sanctuary in Watchet during half-term was organised by
16-year-old Hannah Levett who encouraged friends, family and members of her church community to get involved by baking.
Hannah, who is a big fan of the Great British Bake Off, said: “Thanks to everyone who baked and supported our bake sale, we had lots of people in The Sanctuary all morning.”
Tearfund projects include an orphanage for girls in Central Asia, where girls are encouraged to join a baking course, giving them the skills and confidence they need to make a living and build safe lives
