MINEHEAD Town Youth Football Club recently held their presentation nights at Minehead Football Club.
Because of the growth of the teams representing Minehead, now ranging from Under 7s to Under 16s, they had to be held over two nights.
The club has some 200 boys and girls regularly playing and training, and while the emphasis is on enjoyment and fun, all the teams competed well in their respective leagues.
Highlights of the season in the Lloyd and White Sunday Youth League were the Under 16s reaching the final of their cup competition, losing narrowly in the final, the Under 15s winning the sportsmanship award, and the under 13s being promoted after finishing runners-up in their league.

Matthew Muscroft won the Craig Jesson Memorial Award for his outstanding contribution to the club throughout the season.
In addition to playing for the Under 15s, he has been selected for the Plymouth Argyle school of excellence, travelling to Plymouth two to three times a week.
He has also played for West Somerset Sports in the Taunton Saturday league and has had a couple of run outs with Minehead's first team.
The teams are looking forward to the start of the new season when they will have teams in the Under 8, 9 and 10's Tony Pryce League and Under 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 in the Lloyd and White League.
If any player wants to join one of the teams, or if parents want to get involved in assisting with the running of the teams, they should contact Andrew Muscroft on 01643 706473.
