Repairs to A396 Cutcombe Hill moved to nighttime work to avoid Snowdrop Valley clashWootton Courtenay resident Amanda Elliott said the stone frog had ‘sentimental value’ for its owner.
Ms Elliott said: “Please could I ask villagers to be vigilant and if they find a stone frog where no stone frog should be, could they return it to 2 Elm Bank.”
The frog was taken at some time on Friday, March 3, when an honesty box for flower sales was also stolen from the same property.
Several small items have also disappeared from All Saints’ Church in the village over the past few months, although none were said to be of great value.
