PUPILS from Minehead First School helped to bring some Hollywood-style special effects to a science and technology fair.
Six youngsters accompanied Somerset County Council's e-learning advisor Amy Blackmore to the BETT conference in London as ambassadors for both the council's education team and technology giant Lumens.
The conference - formally known as the British Educational Training and Technology Show - is a showcase for the latest classroom technologies which help to bring science to life.
The Minehead pupils were called on to demonstrate the scope of Lumens visualisers, a projection device which can be used to create a variety of effects and images.
Together with Ms Blackmore, the children took part in a seminar called 'Lights, Visualiser, Action' which demonstrated techniques ranging from time lapse and live video to 'green screen' which saw them travelling the world as everything from weather forecasters to highwaymen.
