EVERYTHING went really well – that was the verdict of Bicknoller Flower Show organisers after this year’s event on Saturday July 27.
Class entries were of a very high standard, causing a lot of head-scratching for the 14 judges, and Chris Yates and Christine Chaplin went home with several of the trophies.
As well as the usual exhibits of flowers, fruit, vegetables and handicrafts there was a challenge to produce the heaviest potato and this was grown by Clive Raisey.
Children also entered the show – there were 150-plus pieces of art work from Crowcombe and St Peter’s schools.
Pictured are some of the cup winners, from the left, DW Toze, Chris Yates, Andrew Harrison, Catherine Greer, Megan Rutt, Pam Wallace, Erica Griggs, Lucy Croxton, Marilyn Smith, Deanna Gladki, Michele Sears, Pat Williams and Christine Chaplin.
