POLICE are advising clubs in West Somerset to consider fitting motion lighting, alarms, and CCTV following a break in at Porlock Bowling Club where money was stolen and doors damaged, and a similar incident happened in Minehead on the same night.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary said motion lighting was helpful in deterring thieves in remote locations now darker evenings had arrived.
