CHRISTIAN Aid Week has not been cancelled – but it will be like no other before it as some new virtual ways to support the week will be put in place

Bill Griffiths leader of Minehead and Alcombe Christian Aid Group, said many aspects of Christian Aid Week, from Sunday to May 16, cannot go ahead beause of the restrictions in place.

“Our prime concern is for the safety and wellbeing of our volunteers and supporters at this time,” he added.

“Christian Aid Week 2020 is not cancelled, however what is clear is that this will be a Christian Aid Week like no other.

“While a number of key activities will not be taking place in May, we will be working with supporters and volunteers to identify alternative ways of raising funds, acting and praying on behalf of those living in poverty both during Christian Aid Week and later in the year.”
