SIR — Re the new refuse and recycling system in West Somerset, I used two plastic bins with lids for my collection of paper and cardboard as the boxes provided have no lids and the contents blow all over the neighbourhood (please note, Somerset Waste Partnership, that not all of us have large kitchens for storage).
But these were not emptied. Why not ? They were taken, no problem, under the previous system.
Apparently I have to use plastic bags for any excess recycling, and these are not left for me to use again but taken away to add to the pile of waste.
So it's off to the supermarket to get lots of plastic bags . . .

Does anybody else feeling the same way?
