About a year ago I wrote lamenting the fact that we had lost our cast iron, beautifully illustrated, black and white bus stop signs, but also drawing attention to the fact that a project to refurbish Exmoor’s cast iron signposts was going ahead.

This project, envisaged for two years’ work by volunteers who would be trained, is in full swing and I must say the results are very gratifying.

A splendid job is being done by these volunteers. It’s a pleasure to see these signs looking so pristine and cared for.

It shows our visitors we take pride in our locality and the way we appear to visitors. Well done to all those who took up the challenge.
