SIR — I write in support of Dulverton Town Council's bid to retain control over its car parks.
As a trader on the High Street, I believe the plan that West Somerset Council and Somerset County Council intend to impose on Dulverton would be a major blow to businesses in the town and neither would it serve the community.
Local amenities should be run by local people and this "top down revenue raiser" would cost the people of Dulverton dearly and should be reconsidered.
