THE police are appealing for witnesses of a collision between a car – thought to be stolen – and a parked vehicle in Norton Fitzwarren on Tuesday, February 7.

Both vehicles were badly damaged in the incident, which happened at about 8.50pm on the B3227, near to the entrance to Beauford Park.

A blue Renault Megane hardtop convertible car was in collision with a parked vehicle, a red Audi A4.

The driver of the Renault – which has been reported as stolen – left the scene.

The police are keen to trace anyone who was in the area at the time who may have seen the collision or saw what happened to the driver of the Renault.
