A SUPER start to the New Year is being celebrated by West Somerset based holistic practitioner Venetia Moore with the announcement of two awards for her work in health and wellbeing.
Her ‘True Nature Health and Wellbeing’ business has won the CorporateLiveWire Prestige award for best South-West online meditation class of the year in Somerset. The award recognises small and medium sized businesses that have proved to be the best in their field over the past year.
The Corp Today Magazine Best Health and Wellbeing Treatment provider in Somerset award recognises best business in various sectors including lifestyle.
Venetia, whose practice is based in Minehead, started working in this field 31 years ago. She said: “These awards have got the year off to a great start.”

She has also been hosting wellness retreats at Wimbleball Lake for the last six years and takes clients on gentle mindfulness walks alongside Mark Ward from the Somerset Wildlife Trust in unique and beautiful settings in the South-West.
There they practice Transformative Yoga Nigra for guided healing and relaxing, in which Venetia has also trained. They also practice Tai Chi and meditation and connection to nature and the sea.
Added to that, she has published a book on baby colic and has many treatments for people of all ages and specific needs.
The pandemic has increased the need for people to seek online help and support with their individual needs.
“Going online has meant I can help people to reduce their anxiety and stress levels and support them to build their inner resilience and stability to deal with change, uncertainty and whatever they are facing in their lives”, Venetia said.
“I do feel that the more people know about the wellness services available in the clinic and online the better, especially important at this turbulent time,” Venetia said.
Venetia’s mantra is to “help people to help themselves holistically by facilitating the ability to move forward”.
This can take many forms from her work online or at the clinic in Minehead, her retreats at Wimbleball Lake or her mindfulness walks.
“It was a surprise and a pleasure to receive all these awards and great thanks to all the awarding bodies,” Venetia said.
“It’s wonderful to see that this kind of vocation is now getting acknowledgement and appreciation as for many years passionate and dedicated people have worked to holistically help others’ wellbeing naturally.”
