PUPILS and staff at Dulverton Junior School were dismayed to find their school field badly vandalised after someone drove all over it last week.
Now they are appealing to anyone with information about the crime to contact the police.
“I’ve never seen anything to this extent,” said executive headteacher Carly Hatch.
“People have always been very respectful and enjoyed the grounds.”
She said the school would have to call in an external company to repair the damage after the vandals’ vehicle left large, deep, muddy circles all over the grass, in the overnight incident last Wednesday, November 21.
“We are yet to determine what repairs to the field will cost,” said Mrs Hatch.
Pupils and staff are pleading with anyone who has information about the crime to contact the police on 101, using crime reference number 5218259719.
