A WOMAN was trapped when the car she was in crashed at Lype Steep, Cutcombe, yesterday lunchtime.

Police called on the fire service for assistance and crews from Minehead and Dulverton went to the scene. They found one small car had been involved in the accident, and the woman was female was trapped inside.

They cared for the casualty while waiting for the ambulance. They were able to free her through the rear tailgate and made the vehicle safe as they handed responsibility over to the ambulance service and police.
